Vulnerability Research Grant-Program Starts in 2015Q1

In the last days the google security team started a new program that is called "Vulnerability Research Grant Program". The program was announced in the last week by officials of the google bug bounty university website.

Google tries also to reward as part of its Vulnerability Research Grant Program own security experts when they Google products (exp. Apps & services) check for vulnerabilities, even if no new vulnerabilities have been identified.

Google plans to release a case scnarios to the open issues even if the researchers are able to interact by there own. The reward amount for successful reports and advisories is set to 3133,70$.

The google security team called the program as an experiment and wants to initially recruit reliable security researchers who have reported vulnerabilities to the company. The time taken by a participant to apply will be announced along with the reward. After completion of the safety analysis, the researcher must completely fill out a questionnaire.

Who reveals a more functional vulnerability during the Vulnerability Research Grant Programs can report them to the Vulnerability Reward program from google.
